“CAS has shown me what Co-Op can really be when the student body puts their mind to it. All students who attend Co-Op are artists—thanks to these programs and clubs, students can express themselves more than others expect them to.”

We are excited to continue offering a range of programming through Co-Op After School (CAS) this year and hope that you will encourage your student to apply and attend. 50% of Co-Op students participated in CAS programs and clubs during the 2011-2012 school year and we hope that the number will continue to increase.
CAS maintains a supportive, nurturing, and safe environment that provides students with opportunities for enrichment and experiences outside of the normal school day. While some students may choose to further their study of their art concentration, CAS aims to give students the flexibility to explore areas outside of their chosen discipline.
Located in the heart of New Haven, CAS takes advantage of Co-Op’s close proximity to the city’s cultural institutions and our close relationship with Yale University. Whether it is field trips to local galleries, programs taught by Yale students, or projects led by local artists, we have a strong history of collaborating with high-quality partners to ensure rich programming for Co-Op students.
The majority of programs are open to all students from all grade levels regardless of their arts discipline. In addition, all CAS programming is free for students. Applications are made available in mid-September for Fall programs and in mid-January for Spring programs. All students are encouraged to apply!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
